My tag [WoRs] (Waiting on Re-spawn) comes from a DOD clan I started in 1999 after being in HYB and not getting the competitive play that I wanted at the time. At one point we had 2-32 slot pub servers (1 of which was custom map only) and a private 16 slot match sever w/HLTV. @ the time we played in 3 leagues.IGL,TPG and CAL,also a short stint in STA...all 6v6..as well as fielded a couple of 3v3 teams.It was a blast.Each Sunday we would host a "Sunday Brunch" on our custom server and it would be full all day long. I started playing DOD with 2.0..a long time before Steam even existed..got it in a copy of Maximun pc magazine..and have been playing pretty much ever since..it's still the best game play even now..even if the engine is old.For me once Valve bought it out from under the independent modders it was the beginning of it's demise(that and "realism"..whatever the hell that is)..I won't even go into how much and how many ways Source blows..
At any rate..I know how difficult it can be monitoring a pub server and I think you guys do an excellent job.
